C’est le 20 novembre que Criterion va rendre enfin hommage au film de Michael Cimino, après des dvd nettement décevants chez MGM. Le master HD est connu en France, il vient de passer sur TCM et repassera d’ailleurs en septembre. Il y aura peut-être des différences sur le Blu-Ray mais elles ne devraient pas être importantes.

Où l’on attendait Criterion, c’est aussi du côté des suppléments. Et il faut bien dire qu’on est un poil déçu, surtout après la magnifique interview d’Isabelle Huppert pour TCM il y a quelques mois. Et puis bien sûr, l’absence de Final Cut: The Making of Heaven’s Gate and the unmaking of a studio, le formidable documentaire dont Cimino ne sortait pas grandi.
Le disque sera zoné A avec des sous-titres anglais.
